That does seem crazy. I’d be all over a deal like that if I was in a position to take them. I’d even pay you to ship them but my new tank isn’t even wet yet, let alone ready for sticks. At least you can get some credit at the LFS. I’m about to do the same thing with Zoa and LPS frags and as many of my RBTA clones as I can get them to take. Never again with the nems.

How are those Angels doing? I would love a mated pair in the new tank eventually but it’s probably not quite big enough.
Still have all 8!

The largest female Watanabe was starting to transition and got into it with the biggest male. He whooped her butt and injured her side. It took a few days to heal, but I haven't noticed her faint stripes getting any darker since then and they're back to getting along. The two new females have grown incredibly fast, they're now as big as the Spotbreast trio, which are also doing great. The smallest has some minor popeye, but it's been slowly healing.

I've got a feeling more fish are coming soon. ;)

The QT tank has some new inmates. Finally giving in and adding some tangs, plus adding more anthias to bring the school back up to 12.

I love having a tank large enough for multiple fish of the same species so I can watch how they interact. Mandarins are some of the most entertaining, especially when they do this move during their nightly dance;

I'm starting to think this isn't a heteractis malu as advertised, but a crispa. I've tried sticking it in both sand boxes and it eventually wanders out and onto the rock work. I actually like it in this spot and the torch is keeping it contained.

My nori-stick still brings all the fish to the yard

New tangs and anthias from NYaquatic looked healthy and were eating like pigs so into the display they went. So far they're largely sticking together while exploring.

I think it's almost done throwing up it's own foot (it apparently started eating itself in the shipping bag). Hoping it can return to normal and heal up quickly, never seen this before.

Slowly updating the first post in this thread to be a sort of index/FAQ for what equipment and livestock I've got. I'll add more details about my maintenance schedule and other random thoughts over time. I also finally added a signature!

I ordered the trio of purple tangs knowing it might not work out. So far two of the trio get along great and swim together near constantly. The third is getting bullied by the biggest, and got stuck against the side of the MP60 at some point today.

Moved him back into the acclimation box, hopefully the little guy recovers. He was exhausted and breathing slowly when I turned the pumps off to free him.

The new clownfish figured out what to do! He looks so striking in his matching anemone.

Hopefully the other one catches on that anemones are a better host than the zoanthids.

A bunch of new unnamed red mille frags thanks to a local reefer.

I gave up on anyone picking up these Spainbow frags so I planted them on the other rock since the colors worked for that row (green/purple). Saved two frags to try and trade.

Anemone started melting and I removed it before it fouled the water too bad. It kept moving around, I'm guessing because it was never able to fully pull it's foot out of its mouth.

1000009781.jpg

I don't think it had a chance since I wasn't able to help get the foot out without tearing it. Hopefully it wasn't shipped to me this way, but since it was mislabeled as a malu and was missing the advertised purple tips, I'm not so certain. Lesson learned, buy a nem in person or wysiwyg to make sure it's healthy.

Silver lining is I redid the rockwork a little and really like the small change.

Set up the 2nd channel of my DoS to help spread out the dose now that I'm doing more than 60 ml per day.
