Finally got the NP rehoused and running. Let's see how well it works.

Looks like I'm seeing results similar to other users of the new NP. Nitrates seem to be pretty spot on, but Phosphates are reading zero when they're much higher.

Here's the NP as of today

Trimmed up my BC Spainbow since it grows like a weed. Maybe I'll give them away at the next local frag swap.

Reefer experience means knowing your tank didn't really turn acidic overnight and you probably just need to shake the gunk off your probe. :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Love all the Anthia! How many are in there? Lyretails? Did you introduce all at once? Thinking of adding some for my 8’ 240
It's a group of 11. I added them in two big batches of 6 or 7. I was considering adding 3-4 more to the school since I had to re-home the male that got popeye, putting me under a dozen. In the wild they're like 35-40 to 1.

That’s awesome! I have been considering them but have seen people adding in groups of 3-5.
Did you get them all as females?
Yeah, all added as females. If there's no male in the tank, it won't take long for one to start changing.

From what I've observed, the more females there are, the more the 'charging' from the male will be spread out and less stress overall for the others. It's probably why you see people start who start with 3-4 end up with 1, but people with 9+ don't seem to lose any.

Do you find that odd number groups work better or does it really matter?

No real change since the school went from 12 to 11, just a different fish doing the bossing around. So I'd hypothesize it doesn't matter.
