It's a group of 11. I added them in two big batches of 6 or 7. I was considering adding 3-4 more to the school since I had to re-home the male that got popeye, putting me under a dozen. In the wild they're like 35-40 to 1.Love all the Anthia! How many are in there? Lyretails? Did you introduce all at once? Thinking of adding some for my 8’ 240
Yeah, all added as females. If there's no male in the tank, it won't take long for one to start changing. That’s awesome! I have been considering them but have seen people adding in groups of 3-5.
Did you get them all as females?
Do you find that odd number groups work better or does it really matter?Yeah, all added as females. If there's no male in the tank, it won't take long for one to start changing.
From what I've observed, the more females there are, the more the 'charging' from the male will be spread out and less stress overall for the others. It's probably why you see people start who start with 3-4 end up with 1, but people with 9+ don't seem to lose any.
