Ok, I've been cycling for only 11 days and I tested today.

No ammonia
No Nitrite
20ppm Nitrate

Anyone else ever had a cycle that fast? I used and entire pack of frozen brine shrimp to start the cycle and then another 8 cubes this past sunday

It's been in bins for about a year. In water with heater and powerhead. And 140 lbs live sand.

When I set up my 30 cube, I started with all live rock and Live sand, it took about 7 days for the cycle to complete. I did wait another week before I added any livestock to the tank. I also dosed Microbacter7 during the cycle.

Did the live rock also have some kind of air source during that time? Ive cycled tanks fast but the bacteria count will be based on available foodsource..so I would add fish slowly.

I'm probably gonna wait a bit for live stock. Id try a clown first but I wanna get a pair of designer clowns so I wouldn't risk them this early

I agree with Spencer!
*shocking*
Hah hah.

I think everyone would agree to add fish slowly. Glad that's your plan.

Well I'm definitely not risking my corals yet lol. Plus the lights aren't on yet.

Blennies are awesome. I might have gone with a bit less sensitive of a species though (for the first fish). But it's probably fine.

It's a tank raised from SA so he should be ok. He is good this morning. I didn't want to put something in that I can't get out.
