Hey all, I've seen lots of designs here on building large aquarium stands using 2x4s. I saw a lot of double decker stands too, but a lot of them have a large aquarium on top, and then a smaller sump at the bottom.
I would like to build a stand that can hold two 125 gallon stand (standard 72" length), one on top and one on bottom. All of the designs say to make the stand such that the weight is supported by the vertical 2x4 legs in the four corners, with a center leg to support the middle. Since the top tank will sit on these 2x4 legs, I'm having a hard time imagining how to fit another 125 gallon on the bottom, because the vertical supports will basically block the bottom tank from fitting correctly (the vertical four corner 2x4s will basically intersect into the bottom tank unless it's smaller in length).
Is it possible to build a stand that can support 2x 125 gallon tanks? If so, could someone share their plans on them?
