Hey guys I finally got my 125 gal on the stand and I thought it would go inside the stand, touching the two middle wood braces that are vertical? Maybe I am overthinking it but I want to double check so nothing goes wrong. Its sitting on top of the stand edges all around evenly, forgive me for the dumb question this is my first big tank.

Start filing it and see that it stays level. Fill to like 1/4-1/2 and measure at all four corners and the center front and back. Rimmed tanks are sturdy but you don't want it twisting. Once it has some weight and is level check your shims to see they are equally snug and cut them off. Is that basement? A touch of silicone or hot glue the shims so they can't get knocked in or out.

When you say measure all four corners, do you mean put the level diagonally to get a level? And thanks for the tip yes its in a basement, i will do the glue i was careful that we didnt touch them when putting it on

Sorry so long to reply. I meant measure the distance either from bottom or top to the water line. Just use a consistent part of the tank. A rimless tank use the glass edge. A plastic rim measure o the bottom, or top of the plastic. That makes your entire tank one big level! Sometimes the level disappears?
