ammonia advice needed

So just recently I had an auto feeder dump everything in while I'm at work so right now I'm dealing with ammonia issues I'm running 3 bags of chemi pure elite in my sock an used a bacteria that you normal use to start up new tanks an an it seems to be working so far but then I started wondering what does everyone else use or do to keep their ammonia down

After your initial cycle the tank keeps it down... I mean there is cases of adding to many fish to quick or accidents like you had and nothing but time can really balance it all out... Just keep up with water changes and running carbon it will subside quick enough naturally...

I agree with Lee. the only other thing that I do is keep lots of clams but they don't really do a whole lot on a large scale.

I'd put in some prime...siphon out what I could/ change some water...throw on extra mechanical filtration, a *little* extra carbon/gfo - but go easy...
