Zoas are terrifying.... especially those yellow ones. Nuclear deaths might be as toxic? I'd rather fight aiptasia.I got a needle and inject pest zoas with kalk. sorta worked but I didn't keep up on it.

agreed. once I have the new tank here and set up I'll probably hit the rock in the cube w/ a nudi/pepp combo after the fish move over.... if the cbb doesn't clear it up. not holding my breath on that yet.i vote the peppermint shrimp route. i have no aptaisia in my display after adding them. some in the sump but none in the display. You can move the rock over let them clean it all up. sump them and then add fish except save the wrasse for the end. that way if you get any that come back you can pull the shrimp back out of the sump. or just forget the wrasse. my wrasse hasnt bothered the shrimp but they are bigger then he is atm.
not gonna find iguana hunting very fruitful in that part of central flOh I would take my wife. Maybe I'd let her fly and I'd drive though? We'd get a mini mini vacation before the mini vacation? I'd probably end up taking (or buying another) the Benjamin air rifle for some iguana hunting while I was ther! Think I could spend part of the shopping spree on that?
Good idea! Figured out why it leaked and yours might too? So the seal seemed fine and threads all good so I undid the return nozzles and tightened the bulkhead it back before putting the nozzles on and checked it no leaks, realized that the pipe in the top part was slightly to short so when you tighten the RNs down all the way and push them onto the T it caused the pipe to lift slightly off the gasket which was causing the drip/leak. From what I can tell…@SFBB-ON and @nickng
I ended up taking a short piece of airline tubing and putting it in the air hole for the main drain tube to stop the "surging". Water spills in the overflow and occasionally will splash the top of the drain and it will gurgle loudly while sucking water and air instead of just air.
I'll get pictures later.
Makes sense. I have mine a little snug with the wrench and it stopped the drip. I was afraid of what you just described so I had slpped the nozzle bulkheads over the return, tightened the bottom (but only hand tight) and then tightened the nozzle bulkheads. Still had a slight drip so I just gave it a little extra with the wrench.Good idea! Figured out why it leaked and yours might too? It's just Portland cement right? Not quick set or mortar? One shelf (and an extra Smidget) done and air curing, second shelf started and drying in the sand bucket.
Correct. I use Portland and Aragonite sand. Some people have used specific types of mortar or grout but a lot of those have silica sand. It's just Portland cement right? Not quick set or mortar?
I think you want modified mortar so it has the polymerization stuff to give flex.Correct. I use Portland and Aragonite sand. Some people have used specific types of mortar or grout but a lot of those have silica sand.

thinking of what to use to bind rocks together so I don't have to pay for the bougie aquascaping specific mortar. I'm fine soaking out the ph nonsense. Time I can spend, money less so.I think you want modified mortar so it has the polymerization stuff to give flex.
Lots of people use gel super glue and then sprinkle sand over it to make it look more natural.thinking of what to use to bind rocks together so I don't have to pay for the bougie aquascaping specific mortar. I'm fine soaking out the ph nonsense. Time I can spend, money less so.
possible, but a lot of glue.Lots of people use gel super glue and then sprinkle sand over it to make it look more natural.
I wonder if an acid bath would rough up the surface more.Lots of people use gel super glue and then sprinkle sand over it to make it look more natural.
