DAILY QUESTION: What has been the best lighting setup you've used for growing corals? Why do you like this one?

Ai prime Sol on the Evo 13.5 been my best so far. I love the spectrum the sol has.

DAILY QUESTION: How do you handle coral fragging in your tank? Are you a frequent fragger? Occasional fragger? Or only when you have to prune?

I only frag to prune or prevent shading. Pocilopora I love and hate it at the same time

DAILY QUESTION: What is your approach to dosing calcium and alkalinity? Do you dose any other elements?

I dose Reef Complete to maintain cal,mag,and alk. I dose aminos and traces using Reef Plus. I only dose when I skip a weekly waterchange.

DAILY QUESTION: How do you acclimate new corals to your tank?

I temp acclimate then toss them in my lfs stores salt is very similar to mine. I have yet to order online but would add water to the bag while temp acclimating if I did so.

I use dipx coral induction bath to prevent pest and control disease. So far so good!

DAILY QUESTION: What has been the biggest setback you've experienced in growing corals? How did you bounce back?

Trusting saltwater without testing caused my biggest set back all my sps dying overnight. Lfs had a new employee they gave me fw instead of reef water. I contribute my bounce back to now testing all my water before adding, a 50% fw change is no bueno lesson learned.

Corals need some level of nutrients I think they are required in that sense definitely a good thing. I don't currently manage them other then exporting ph with gfo and physical removal until I get this gha full removed. Another method of management I use is frequent water change.

DAILY QUESTION: How important is flow in coral growth? What have you found to be the best way to get the right flow for keeping corals healthy and thriving?

I think flow is important esp to sps growth, I'm still experimenting with flow 1.5 years into my nano. I look to the corals polyp extension to tell me if they are happy and the flow amount is correct.

I burrowed lfs par meter and mapped my tank out using a crude Ms paint picture on my computer.

I think lighting and water chemistry play the to biggest roles in coloration, but I also think trace and aminos help a lot as well. I adjust my spectrum and keep my parameters stable with water changes.

100% keeping turbo snails from knocking my frags into my bubbletips even if their glued they seem to find a way.

I have chaeto for nutrient export and dragons breath for a treat for the tangs.

I like my 2-part. but I don't think I have found a favorite supplement yet. I've heard great things about AFR and there are some amazing bacterial mixes out there too.

That would have to be Gorilla Glue Gel. IT holds them in place so they can grow in new spots.

Trace Elements, magnesium, and the occasional molybdenum for Zoa colors.
