  • Yes

  • No

  • I'm treating my tank with it now.

  • I love Bryopsis and I'm mad that everyone is killing it.

I know the answer is in this thread but using a phone is a pain. Would someone please tell me how much I would need for a 30 gallon tank? It's about 26 gallons w rock, sand etc.

26gal x 20mg/gal = 520mg

Thank you very much! I am going to give this a shot vs gha. I am running 0 nitrates and phosphates for months but it's still growing and spreading. I want to try this before it gets out of hand.

Too many pages for me to read through at the moment.. but questions for those who has been using flucanzole-- No issues in any corals (Softies, zoas, SPS, so on?) Any issues with inverts?

I may have to try this route as I am seeing this bryopsis in my tank now

Hows your tank doing?

Well no signs of Bryopsis that's for sure. My gha is getting thinner and almost gone now. It won't be long and I'll be completely algae free! Now as for my cyano/dino/diatom mess, that hasn't changed at all. The treatment didn't even phase that junk.

Atleast that stuff goes away on its own lol! No biggie, that stuff comes and goes. Its possible itll start to thrive due to new water conditions.

Yeah I took a power head to the rocks and everything today and it was a huge red and brown swirling mess all in the tank. It looked a lot better after it all settled or went through the filter socks but it doesn't take but about a day or two and it all grows(or regroups) right back like it was. I'm going to switch salts and see how that goes. I've changed a lot of things...why not change the rest lol. I've got 50gal of RPM Reef Pro mixed and ready. :D

I've got 130 gallons of IO all mixed up, excess alkalinity burned off (with HCl), Calcium and Mg adjusted. all I have to do is throw the two virtual switches on APEX fusion and it starts changing it for me.

I'm telling you, next to fluconazole, automatic continous waterchanges are the greatest thing!
All jokes aside tho, really is man. I had a empty tank plumbed in a few years back, all i had to do was move some valves to do a water change. Best thing since sliced bread lol. Now i just run some hoses, but itll be nice to setup something like that again.

Just started my fluconazole treatment yesterday. Bryopsis has been a persistent problem in one of my tanks and survived the rocks being removed and treated with peroxide, magnesium of 2200 ppm for two months and LiCl together with magnesium of 2200 ppm. Vibrant did a good job on bubble algae, but nothing else.

I removed the bryopsis manually to avoid a huge nutrient spike. Will post photos after I have a few days worth.
