I just got some calibration fluid in, so thanks to whomever sent that. And I checked my tank. Salinity is at about 30. It should be a little higher, yes? I’ll add some saltwater to the ATO later.

35 or 1.026, no saltwater in your Ato. Unplug ato and manual top off with saltwater for a few days.

35ppt or 1.026 is average for salt water. Bring it up slowly so you don't shock anything.

Some areas have higher salinity due to evaporation and currents. I believe the Caribbean Sea is 1.027-1.028 and the Red Sea can get as high as 1.030 or maybe a touch higher.

Thanks. I mixed a gallon, and added a cup. The ATO hasn’t gone off today so that should cover what it would have dumped.

I believe it is a Movado or a Movado knock off. Movados became very popular in the later 80's and early 90's.

I believe you are correct!

I normally like simplistic things as well, but with watches I’ve always been fascinated with how they work. My Citizens constantly recharge themselves using light, (if only my car did that am I right) and my Bulova winds itself using motion.

I can’t wait for coralline. I’d love to have it all shades as well.
If you have a local sw friend or lfs you can take a rock scrape Coraline into a blender with a little sw. Blend it up and pore into the tank. It's a great way to seed the tank.

That's what I did for a buddy's tank
That’s awesome! Plus, what a huge advantage. Instead of letting a bunch of different strains compete for space, you can pick what color you want and spread it everywhere so it dominates.
