Very hard to find. Maybe T8 in a 18", I think I saw some at the chain pet store... PetSmart or something... but output will be very low.

Correctomundo! I've never seen anything less that 24" that I would trust to support corals.

(And I bet you didn't know I was mulitlingual!)

So AI Prime, maybe a hydra? What about the small kessil not the A80 but the one between that and the 360?
A160, what size tank... they are kinda underpowered and I suggest 1 per 12" of tank length with T5 supplement for good coverage. I'd go 18" spacing on the 360, with or without T5 depending on coral types. SPS, absolutely T5. LPS depending on scape and shading, sofies will be fine without.

I want to upgrade my tank to an AP700, which is slightly more powerful than two 360s with better controls. Maybe on par with the new 360X with the wifi adapter installed... but then that cost about the same or more than one AP700.

One A160we should cover that fine. Hot spot in the middle with cooler areas on the sides. They have a really wide angle and do best about 6-8" over the water.
