Yes what you see going down my basement stairs is the portal (hole) that is literally sucking all my money out of my wallet....it is an ongoing phenomenon Thanks for the tips too.....going to keep the portal hole open until the project is complete.
I'm not sure what is more amazing, the pics of this build or those stick pics!!! Incredible build, something I dream of. I can't wait to see more!!!
This is epic, following along for the ride. It's very cool that Reef Savvy was able/willing to go to your home to build the tank.
Will sure be looking forward to buying more of your fantastic frags at next years LEAR.---Rick
Oh and subscribed
tagging along, as this is an awesome build.
Ha! You need an older brother too.Do you want to adopted a 37 year old? I could feed the fish and do daily maintenance!
Epic!
greetings. Very nice project, I'm enjoying following your journey. I had a 300 gal DT in my den with equipment room and 120o gallons of sump and speciality tanks in my unfinished basement. My nervana. After 3 years I had to eliminate the 800 gallons of rAck system tanks to lower humidity. I was afraid of developing a mold problem in the basement that could have severely devalued my home. So....you need to heat and air condition and sometime ventilate the basement space. I assume you have thought of this. Just tying the basement into your house HVAC system works.
Have fun! The ultimate fishman cave.
Awesome Tim, just Awesome! Looking forward to seeing it come along. Once it is up an running I will have to make a trip to your corner of Ohio!
lets get a FTS of that frag tank see how packed to the gills it really is

That Skimmer looks like it's about to blast off into outer space, I was looking for the next pic to show it headed skywardNext up are some of the major equipment components I added for this project. Special thanks goes out to Reef Dynamics and Titan Aquatic Exhibits for these gems! For those who know me well, I go back many years with these products and I am still running my old RC 500 Euro-Reef skimmer to this day, which was purchased back in 2006. Built like a tank and still runs like new!
Next up, family vacation to Aruba or just purchase 10 years of replacement parts and modified pumps for the skimmer and calcium reactor in advance? While Reef Dynamics is no longer in business, my plan is to keep this heavy duty equipment in operation for decades to come!
