A few months ago, I heard @telegraham say on Prestige Reef and Reef Dork’s weekly live that he found the OEM for the AI Nero, but he never said who it was. Does anybody here know the AI Nero OEM?

ThanksWaveline Wavepuck II
Wait, doesn't look like it; the wavepuck is dramatically thicker than the Nero, and has a slanted "grill teeth" design while the Nero has a straight vertical one.Waveline Wavepuck II
It's funny how things said for shock value seldom turn out to be true. It's just an attempt at throwing shade.Wait, doesn't look like it; the wavepuck is dramatically thicker than the Nero, and has a slanted "grill teeth" design while the Nero has a straight vertical one.
I don't think @telegraham said that just for shock value or throwing shade; he probably just mistook the Wavepuck, as they do look sort of similar. It's funny how things said for shock value seldom turn out to be true. It's just an attempt at throwing shade.
You learned a valuable lesson today.
I retract my last statement then.I don't think @telegraham said that just for shock value or throwing shade; he probably just mistook the Wavepuck, as they do look sort of similar.
Both statements are inaccurate, but your retraction was noted. It's funny how things said for shock value seldom turn out to be true. It's just an attempt at throwing shade.
Please elaborate...Both statements are inaccurate, but your retraction was noted.
I shared information that was neither for shock value nor shade. Just information. Please elaborate...
Wait, which two statements? Yours and @Sisterlimonpot 's, mine and @Sisterlimonpot 's, or mine and yours? Both statements are inaccurate, but your retraction was noted.
@encrustingacro ... the above, and from what I understand from sources I trust, that I didn't provide inaccurate information. I'm not guessing.I shared information that was neither for shock value nor shade. Just information.
You still haven't elaborated. What relationship is Waveline Wavepuck II to Nero?I shared information that was neither for shock value nor shade. Just information.
Also, didn't the Wavepuck II come out after the Nero?@encrustingacro ... the above, and from what I understand from sources I trust, that I didn't provide inaccurate information. I'm not guessing.
Pretty sure the company that makes the wavepuck has the patent or trademark (not sure which it is) for that style wavemaker. AI just licenses the design, and can put their own tweaks to the design. Also, didn't the Wavepuck II come out after the Nero?
Only speculating here. But it seems that he's suggesting that the overseas company that makes the nero is the very same place that makes the wavepuck II.Also, didn't the Wavepuck II come out after the Nero?
I thought he was saying that Waveline manufactures the Neros or AI uses modified WavePucks for their Neros.Only speculating here. But it seems that he's suggesting that the overseas company that makes the nero is the very same place that makes the wavepuck II.
Perhaps, suggesting that maybe they share the same stator. And further suggesting that because they share the same internals that they are equal. And what you won't get from your livestreams is someone questioning that logic and making the counterpoint that they aren't the same and to go even further to debunk the suggestion that one is reasonably priced while the other is out of greed.
I see; if that is true, then @telegraham was likely correct. @telegraham apologies for doubting you.Pretty sure the company that makes the wavepuck has the patent or trademark (not sure which it is) for that style wavemaker. AI just licenses the design, and can put their own tweaks to the design.
With most AI and ecotech products, you're not necessarily paying for the design of the product, but more the access to the app and the controlability of the product.
Quite possible. Then the question becomes, and?I thought he was saying that Waveline manufactures the Neros or AI uses modified WavePucks for their Neros.
