It has finally began! Made my epic drive to pick it up. Yes it does fit into a cargo van but fair warning it hits the scales at 890 lbs.

At a standstill. Managed to break the sump while putting it into the stand. Probably going to go buy a 40 breeder for temporary fix. The sump is unavailable for purchase for an unknown length of time and glass is nonexistent near me.

Oh man, the irony of your last 2 posts absolutely stinks :( Better it break now when it's still dry, right? Pretty lousy upside, I know.

Hope you're able to put something together in the meantime so you can keep building your tank. Looks like it's going to be amazing!

Yeah seeing the corner snap was a crap feeling. Never had it happen before. Spent all day today and yesterday trying to find glass or find a new sump to buy. Turns out a 40 breeder is just about the same size, so I think I'm heading out of town to go pick one up and fabricate baffles tomorrow.
After that I need to do a lot of reading to see if I can replace one glass pane or if I need to tear the entire thing apart

Wanted to show the seams this tank has. They all look amazing. Please ignore fingerprints, I can't keep my hands off this thing

The overflow was super easy to assemble. Just put the pipes in from the top begin threading them in and tighten from the bottom. When they fully seat you will get clicking. Figured I would mention that just in case someone was in a hurry on assembly

Thanks for posting this! I'm eagerly awaiting my 650 to arrive as the white stands were on a delay. Sorry to hear about your sump. You know I'm gonig to have to be extra cautious now after reading this.

I'm glad you posted pics of the overflow, I've been trying to guess at the layout. Are you going to do a manifold for any reactors or just run them off seperate pumps *if* you add any?

The sump actually is pretty tough. Just has some weight to it and I had perfectly smacked the corner pretty hard.
As for the tank make sure you have some help. As you unpack the pallet you will need to move the tank off of the stand pieces. I put the tank on a board on top of my bed until the stand was built.
The tank has some weight to it. We two manned it but really 4 would be better.

I am currently working on a manifold for the return. Going to run the calcium reactor off it and an algae reactor.
