7.8ish is more forgiving for acros.AND you will want to be able to TEST and STABILIZE the big parameters:
Salinity
Temp
Alk
Cal
Mag
Nitrate
Phosphate
(pH should be at least above 8 if you can wrangle it, preferrably 8.3 for good growth)

For pH?? I always thought the higher the better for most hard coral7.8ish is more forgiving for acros.
wo wo wo 7.8 pH??7.8ish is more forgiving for acros.
lolFor pH?? I always thought the higher the better for most hard coral
Ladies like bourbon tooDon't forget the frogspawn and maybe hammers if his tank is stable enough
Oh I'm sorry..I meant alk...YES PH 8.3!!!For pH?? I always thought the higher the better for most hard coral
Yeah..my bad...The ocean is at around 8.2 side note, ocean acidification is pushing it lower and thats a dealbreaker ladiez
you were blowing my mind there for a sec haha. I run my alk between 10-11, stability is the key with alk as it can swing drastically with a big calcifying club in the tankOh I'm sorry..I meant alk...YES PH 8.3!!!
I'm running 8.4 myself and pretty happySBB said they’re at 8.5 lately.
What does that alk measurement? Trident? I’m thinking that should be my next equipment I buy. Some kind of auto alk tester.Apex screen comparisons, post em if you got em
Oooh this one seems fun!! i love animals
NEW GAME
ANIMALS CLOSEUP
It's time to get up close and personal with mother nature! For this game, I will post an image of an animal every hour, on the hour. However, the image is dramatically zoomed in. The first person to correctly identify the animal gets a point. After ten rounds, the person with the most points wins FREE SHIPPING FROM SBB CORALS!!!
In the event of a tie, the person that scored first wins. Good luck!
If you already have an apex, get a trident. It measures alk, ca, and MG as many times a day as you want. When your alk is stable, it provides a great heartbeat for the tank. I can look at the ups and downs and compare to previous days, and if corals are comsuming more or less alk based on any changes I made. Pretty awesome and I'd never run a tank without a trident now. What does that alk measurement? Trident? I’m thinking that should be my next equipment I buy. Some kind of auto alk tester.
