Same here. Pics of your tank? All this time I thought I was the only oneTank packed full of coral with 0 dosing.
Back in the day... DSB's were the 'in' thing for a while. In the early 90's, we were importing Southdown play sand out of the south by the ton through Home Depot. My old 240 had a good 6" sand bed. 550 lbs of southdown sandI have a deep sand bed, about four inches. I rarely see other tanks with that much sand.
Nice looking tank. I do a 5% water change every other day on my 130L to keep alk up and just run a external filter with a skimmer.Same here. Pics of your tank? All this time I thought I was the only one
I also took it a step further about 8 or 9 years ago and threw out the skimmer so I am also running the tank with zero mechanical filtration and zero dosing. I do a 40-60% water change once every 4-6 weeks. 120g tank so the water changes are fairly significant but I kind of enjoy the manual labor once in a while after sitting in an office all day.
