What’s the “weirdest” item or tool you use for tank maintenance that other reefers might not expect?

A 10ft long hand drain cleaner think roto rooter. Every once in a while a snail will find its way down the drain and cause an obstruction this makes easy to clear.

Size 16-18 tied on with 4lb fluorocarbon with a single mysis shrimp threaded on is better than any fish trap out there. Ive caught wrasses, hawkfish, tangs, gobies, etc. even a problem snowflake eel.
I once had a hard time catching a wrasse with it because a longnose hawkfish kept eating it. Caught the hawk probably 10 times before i could get the wrasse. Are hawkfish dumb or are wrasses just that smart?
