Hello everyone! Haven’t posted in a while because of a huge fish die-off due to clown aggression and have focused all my time into resettling everything. In doing so I forgot to log my seahorse build so I will be doing so in a series of posts here I hope you’ll follow along!!!

First step was getting a tank and thank goodness for Facebook marketplace!!! Got a nice 32g biocube which meets the requirements, has good height, and will fit in my dorm! The white stand needed to be washed but that was the only real issue. Also later found out that the impeller was broken so right now it is somewhat loud which definitely needs to be fixed before heading back to school!!!

Cycled with a piece of live rock from my reef, and a very small layer of sand as to not build up waste with the seahorses. Filtration is just filter floss and chemipure blue, and religiously doing weekly water changes. It cycled during my trip to Florida and I came back to 0 ammonia reading!!!

The ugly stages got here pretty quick considering the rock was already cycled and tank was under lights (I may have forgotten to keep them off :crying-face: ) so it was time for my first water change and deep clean of the tank before arrivals! I added some more rocks to branch out as well

Attached some plastic chain from Home Depot onto small chunks of rock! The seahorses love these hitching posts and with very little macros/gorgonians they’ll act as the perfect hitch
