Nice, I wish I could have big fish like that. But then again, I’m content with Grissengeis and Helfrichis.
The tomini will be my largest fish, once he outgrows my female clownfish. The rest will be 3-5" wrasse. Then there's Maui who is already 6-7" but takes up less tank room than any other fish.

Love the loc line returns, it gives you so many options to break flow streams, I love random flow! :)

Alright guys, last night I got the return plumbing handled. I also added the sand and filled the tank with the water I had made up. One 40lb bag looks like its plenty of sand. I'm not sure where that calculator got its measurements for 80lbs doing a 2" sandbed. I put my new Neotherm 200W heater and a Jebao SW4 in the tank to keep the water circulated. The cloudiness from new sand cleared over night.

I've almost filled my 44g brute again and I'm waiting on the gate valve for the overflow and I'll finish the plumbing and get this thing running. Off to hartsville right now to pick up my corals from my friends tank and to check out her 6 bulb ATI with my Seneye.

I'm interested to see if your sand will get blown around when you put the powerheads in :) But glad to know you're not using 90 lbs of sand! Keeps me hopeful for mine

We're home. Right before I left to go to my reefing friends house UPS rang the door bell. T5 and gate valve! Yay!

BRS did an outstanding job packing the T5, all 4 of them made the trip intact. We're going to mod that aquatic life fixture to use one cord instead of two.

Picked up my corals, and a few I traded + PayPal for that nano tank I had. Time to dip and get these guys in the 40 breeder until I get my tank running.

Alright, corals are dipped and in the 40 breeder holding tank. There's a few...

Tri color, no sure if its name brand or look alike

No name I saw at a LFS in Clayton, NC. Lots of potential in this one. Its ticked off from the dip, but its got purple and blue in it.

No name green with blue tips stag colony that I picked up in Clayton. This one may get fraged, depends on if I can get it attached to my rock.

Red monti cap frag I got from my friend.

Theres also a large 2 head frogspawn, small 3 head trumpet, 3 polyp zoas that I forgot the name of and a large acan colony that I kinda fragged removing from the old frag disk. Oh and that hand sized purple with green polyp monti cap colony that I bought in Clayton. I may have to frag that one as well.

I say don’t Frag them unless you have to. Makes the tank look fuller with more colonies.
