That's actually a JF Midnight Dynamite Montipora hirsuta. I do want an og GARF Bonsai tho.
Its sweet love the oddly shaped ones.

I just fragged a garf style bonsai for @Raege. Tons of them around. Lmk if u have trouble finding one!

Anthias! This is the dominant one, pretty sure its transitioning... you can see the dorsal spine in two of the photos. The other two do not have a spine and are submissive. All three are eating well tho.

Went away to beautiful Cherry Grove SC for the weekend. Lots of people on the beach Saturday relaxing and having fun, almost as if they weren't completely petrified of the impending doom that surely lies ahead...... ;Hilarious

We took the dogs for a walk on the beach, no pics of the beach but I did take two behind my Dad's place.

Tank was all alone from Saturday morning to Sunday night. Other than some film on the glass and green cyano I already had, the tank was just fine.

Ok guys, I'm still new to the acro game so I have a question. How do I make my carolina reaper not green... i mean, its supposed to be a blueish skin, which it still has kinda. But every one of the polyps are green now instead of red. Still looks healthy and its encrusting and holy polyp extension... but, green. Does it need more light? I have recently bumped my Kessil up, I had reduced it some time ago because I saw some corals appeared stressed. That has been resolved and I just happened to check my app and noticed I was only at 50% on the intensity.

Pic when I first got it for reference... 2/11/20(yay me, almost 3 months and I haven't killed it)

I wasnt aware that they could color morph to that extent under different lighting etc... thats a big swing in pigment! No help here sadly. But interested to see the responses.

Could be a combo of lighting and/or lacking a specific trace element or two. Potassium/Boron I know enhances Reds. See what info you can gather looking at the Red Sea color kits. They used to break it down by what was in each bottle and how it related to tissue coloration. Not sure if they still do.

I have the Kessil at 100% for 8 hours now. Did some playing with my schedule. Once I finally set up my GHL , I'll move the T5s to match peak hours. I also have new bulbs in my T5 fixture. 2 ATI Blue Plus in the middle and 2 Giessman Super Actinic on the outside.

I added a few more corals also, from Gonzo's live sale on Facebook a few weeks ago.

Uhh let's see,

Where’s Turtle? Hope all is well and you are not stuck in your shell
;)
Hey Caveman! Just been busy with life and haven't really been on here too much. All is well, I'm not stuck in my shell, but I seem to have had an out of body experience yesterday...

Gave away the acros I got a few weeks ago. One RTNed and the others had started to turn brown. I'm just gonna focus on LPS and the easy SPS like birds nest stylo, montis ect...

I picked up a zebra urchin from the LFS yesterday. Hopefully it likes ulva... I still have ulva. Stuff is like trying to get rid of coraline.

The clowns laid eggs again. Haven't seen them spawn in a while, but seems like June is their month for spawning...
