Hypothetically speaking, if this was touching the water...

I read something from Kessil when I was running them that the mounts being in the water a bit would have no affect on water chemistry. I had the same concern and researched it.

I believe @pelphrey also reached out to Kessil direct asking if it was a cause for concern. 99% sure their response was nothing to worry about.

My arms did the same thing, I sent kessil pictures and they assured me it was not a concern.

I knew you'd recognise that...
This is where it has been for the last 5 months.

Almost full... that's probably enough to be honest. Two PP8s at the bottom making a 40 gallon toilet bowl. It's like the maelstrom on the priate movie. If the Flying Dutchman comes out of there tell Davy Jones I'm not going down without a fight! Salinity is just about right. Just have to get the temp up now.

Water change is done. The tank holds more water than we thought. 30ish gallon water change, added Fiji mud and got everything running again. HUGE cloud from the mud, but I was expecting that. You can't stir the mud up in the salt marsh and expect to find any fiddlers...

Starting to clear up...

And it looks like mud, 6lbs was the perfect amount.

Nice! Can you elaborate on what the mud smelled like when you opened it? More ocean like or did it seem more foul? Any thing else interesting about it?

It's very sticky, like it's really dense. It smells like clean saltwater. No foul odor at all.

The forest fire is looking better. Can a SPS coral start to look better in 12 hours? I think it looks better. Green base is still MIA, but the orange is a darker color than it has been.

My orange and teal acans continue to thrive.

Aside from the hair algae growing on this trumpet, the two polyps continue to expand and it is doing well.

My sympodium has recovered and opened back up. When I shifted the rocks, it ended up being right up against the sand tucked in a little crevass. It seems to be ok there so we're not going to mess with it.

All zoas are either melted, melting or just gone. Packed their bags and caught the next train outta town... except for this one. This one looks like it's trying to open ever so slightly. It's one of the purple and orange zoas, forgot the name.
