Wild lobo this morning with the flashlight... it's definitely a night owl, and looking good. Way better than I thought.

I think keeping it clean and all kinds of stuff growing around it. This would give the appearance that the skull is watching you through the growth.

I can't believe nobody asked... we moved Maui's skull, what about Maui?

We'll, he came back over to the Deep Blue early this morning.

It didn't feel right having him in that cramped tank and after talking with some eel gurus, I think he's just going thru a little hunger strike. Maui was the first inhabitant of the Deep Blue, it just doesn't feel right without him. We'll just stay away from snack sized fish in the future.

As for encrusting the skull... this is already starting to grow. The glue is encrusted already. Speaking of the skull, I need a figure out a way to close off the bottom some but still allow Maui to come and go. Also, it needs to be fixed in place so he doesn't knock it over. We might be playing with some coral epoxy in the future.

It never even clicked that we were talking about a different tank! LoL Hopefully he's happy to return to the Deep Blue!
So happy, he's found the best hiding spot in the tank. I watched him explore all the gaps between the rocks this morning, then he just kinda disappeared. Once he decides he likes food again, I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of him.
