Correct I have a couple g5 blue without diffuser and a g6 blue without.. I run the ab+ schedule for 12 hours a day with 1 hour ramp up and down.. I also run a couple 250 w metal halides with phoenix 14k bulbs for 6 hours in mid day. I need more punch then spread at the moment so I wouldn’t use a diffuser.. honestly the spread is pretty flat anyways on the g5/g6 I don’t think they’re needed…

Dosed some reef roids to raise my nutrients, hope that helps! It did kill my skimmer for awhile lol… on a higher note this is coloring up nicely..

Reef roids for the win!! I didn’t test my po4 as I should of.. I put 2 tsp in my tank Monday afternoon and came home yesterday to film algae on the glass for the first time in a week! It was a blessing to see haha! My lps has never been fluffier and my sticks had some amazing polyp extension that I haven’t see before… hopefully my torches start getting some color back now.. got some stump remover to raise my n03 I’ll be mixing up today.

Nice build! I've been lurking around this site lately and the fact that your using halides caught my eye. I've been away for roughly 12 years myself and the limited halide use is staggering to me. Even though LED was becoming more popular back then, I never would have thought halides would be nearly non-existent LOL I prefer mogul base but still. I'll be watching your progress.

Awesome! Welcome back! Yeah I always ran mogul myself but when I got this tank I needed lights quick and old friend of mine had these in his garage and gave them to me so I couldn’t say no! I did the leds back then and I tried them 7 months ago when I came back.. I gave radions 6 months and they work great but I felt as I was missing something so I went back to halides and glad I did!
