That adult radiatusvthat FishFreak posted reminded me of the sheepshead I caught casting off the rocks in Laguna Beach. Similar face.Sheepshead are wrasse from the genus semicossyphus

Here was the little guy before going into acclimation box. Poor thing has had a rough day. And I hope he’s doing better tomorrow, because he wasn’t looking too good.
Little guy didn’t make it through the night.
I knew the prospects weren’t that great. He was sitting in a bag in the middle of a table in a high traffic room and bright lights all day after being shipped across the world. Ugh :/
I have… it’s never a good sign. My Laboute’s was doing this yesterday and when I got home I fished him out unfortunately dead. It’s usually a spinal injury if they’re fine the previous day.Anyone seen a fairy wrasse swim straight up and down? Like, rise up from the rock aligned vertical, flapping fins like some kind of hummingbird?
Best picture I’ve been able to get so farI just bought a six line wrasse yesterday , and I’m enjoying seeing it zoom around my tank!
what the heck. Why would they even do that?Little guy didn’t make it through the night.

That is just horrible. So the employees didn't have to bag one up every time a customer wanted to buy one of the sale items. There were a lot of things on sale and they were all pre-bagged in bins on a few tables. The saddest thing I saw was pre-bagged small naso tangs in tiny bags, I'm sure most if not all of them will have died in the next 10 days.
That is just horrible.
No need to blast them. Shameful they treat cheaper fish like feeder fish. They wouldn’t be leaving a diamondtail on the table.Tell me about it. I'm not going to put them on blast here but it is a well respected "high end" vendor at that.
