Sweet and sour. lol

Really about the same as the rest. Pecks at everything. That was the last addition to make it 6 dwarfs in my tank now. I have seen them all touch a coral here and there but not for the coral itself. Only thing they seem to like to peck at repeatedly is my KP Aquatics star fish. It's gotten damage here and there but recovers so far. I feel bad for it.

So, none of them are specifically trying to devour any single coral I have yet. And not enough pecking to bother any of the corals much at all. Including a new pipe organ I just got. They peck but the feather fingers still remain. Even my blasto which is meaty has been fine and growing

My LFS had a little McCoskers today for $50 (plus 20% off). Just a tiny little guy, maybe an 1.25”, but I couldn’t believe how developed he was. Despite being so tiny this little guy had his full hood/dorsal and pelvic fins developed, and he was flashing at tank mates. Still kinda amazed, first time I’ve seen one that small so developed.

And they had several pink streaks. There was the cutest little girl there, and I’m probably going to go back and save her.

And if anyone is in central FL, they had a *giant* pink streak male, without a doubt the largest I’ve ever seen in my life. Picture doesn’t do it justice… I’m telling you this guy got hit with some radiation or something, he was a unit.

That male looks like he was 1.5-2” in length, I’ve had one grow to that size but then unfortunately passed later. Whether that was due to him being old or if the tank was just too much for him I’m unsure.

How aggressive do they get in big tanks, like 150+ gal?
They can become fairly boisterous however IME, they aren’t the worst.

Generally I believe they mainly chase smaller more delicate fish but tend to leave other more boisterous species that can stand up for themselves.

probably not good to have them with pinkies and a tailspot blenny then. Although in a 150+, the pinkies and blenny might just fade into the background.

I wish I could’ve taken a better picture of him, he was impressive. I’d say he was around 2.25”, and it wasn’t his length that was so surprising, just his girth and height, this guy was a slab!

Hearing your experience does make sense. I think the one at the store must’ve been quite old to have attained that size. Makes me curious how old he was, and how long the life expectancy would be on a specimen like that.

They also had another male in the next tank over, really beautiful coloration, that was maybe an inch long. Found myself staring wondering how long it would take this impressive little male to grow to the size of that ham next door!

Here’s a photo of that impressive, smaller male hiding from me.

Hopefully all my monster wrasse will survive. Turns out that tang had velvet hiding in its gills so…

I purposely chose it out of many other tangs because it was fat, boisterous, and eating. Of course it would prove all my fears about tangs right.

Anyway euthanized the tang Monday and hoping I got lucky. Of course I’m trying to figure out how to treat the fish but with that many large fish and with the rocks glued down it’s going to be very difficult.

Velvet can move fast. Not sure what you can do with no space to hospitalize many large fish. I wonder if Ruby Rally Pro works or not? @vetteguy53081 has used it I believe.

Such a bummer. I’m really hoping for your fish to be okay. And knock on wood, I think if none of the others are showing any symptoms of illness this many days later, that is a promising sign.
