I just left my dad’s house, and he has my Vivien (well, his now). He calls her “Vivvy” and the female pintail “penny” and is absolutely in love with them both.

Anyways, old man bought a brine shrimp hatch setup because he said Vivvy has stopped readily eating mysis. However, she’s still eating TDO pellets and mows through brine shrimp.

I’ve never seen a fish stop eating/showing interest in mysis, and I’m wondering if there may be something going on that I should be checking her for..
Was it quarantined? Any sign of mouth damage?

Anyone experienced with Brunneus and can speak a bit as to their personality?
I've kept them off and on over the years I just got my 4th one 10 days ago. All of them have been skittish and very jumpy. But this time I have a lot less fish in the tank with my brunneus so I'm hoping with less activity this one will be more relaxed. I'm not sure they do well in busy tanks.

Brunneus sound a lot like these Guys do. They don’t seem to like hyperactive tanks unless they’re added early on.

Also, how do you like your pintails?
More on the Blue side or more purple/pink?

The purple and pink catches my eye.

I love when there’s some specimens that catch blue light and just glow with blue reflections. It’s why I went for that specimen specifically was because the other 2 just didn’t have blue and were so much more purple.

I agree, it's partly why I like brunneus so much they have a lot of blue on them I wish the camera would pick up, most photos just make them look washed out.

Yes, she was quarantined. I saw her last night and didn’t see any visible injuries or signs of infection.

Without any visible symptoms, and looking otherwise healthy and happy, I’m just a little confused. Not sure if it’s just not wanting them for a week for some reason, or if she got some taste of other stuff she’s likes more, or if I’m over thinking it. Just worried if it might be a first sign of something beginning to develop

Here’s the real fight between wrasses…

Pintail or Diamondtail, who do you choose?
For me, diamond tails hands down. Their personality is hard to beat.

Probably fine then. My previous vivien at everything. The current one eats any fresh or frozen. Won’t touch TDO. I think @Crabby48 told her dry food is for losers.

So that must be his trick to making them transition fast! Bullying them into it!

Pretty much...

Edit: unless you're a Thalassoma.
Jaws (hardwicke) is still super slow to transition.

I love the colors on that Mel! Can't wait until mine finishes transitioning.
