My pinkies in QT:

So cute! They all look pretty similar in size. You should take a picture of them every week if you can. I’d be interested to see how they progress, and which one becomes more male/alpha over time!

For what it’s worth, I’ve found that getting them eating aggressively as soon as possible helps them to become more bold and outgoing.
Is that what you did with the possum? Because thats maybe too bold ;)

My exquisite wrasse mortally wounded my little trachy :/

I watched him rip some food out of its mouth the other day, and despite my best efforts to save it, the trachy is turning to jelly. Upsetting because there was *tons* of food around for him to eat and he had to go and pick on the trachy.

At least he finally let me take a decent photo, but he’s still on the naughty list.

Happy Wednesday!

Nice photos of those pink streaks! They are going to be pretty once they are all healed and colored up and settled.

The larger one with the more dramatic “eyeliner” looks like a male!

was thinking of getting yellowfin flasher wrasse, Blue flasher wrasse, mccoskers wrasse, & royal flasher wrasse. Are these all compatible with each other? or should I just stick to one.
The Yellow-Fin and Mccoskeri may not get along, the rest however should.

Make sure your tank is Atleast 4’ long though for any flasher.

I’ve been away from the tanks for a short period of time (since Monday) and just got back about an hour ago. To my surprise, everyone was alright and the 3 wrasses in the nano were loving life.

Make sure you have a lid to prevent any jumpers. McCoskers in particular seem eager to go sky diving!

Without a doubt, out of the 3 flashers I’ve had in personal tanks and countless others I’ve looked after, the mccoskeri was one of the most jumpy. Ironically, the Carpenteri is the least jumpy.
