Good morning, Heathens, and happy Friday to the lot of you misfits!!

Everything is still looking good. In fact, it would appear as though the Morning Glory and Daydream are hanging on! In the immortal words of Miracle Max, "they're only mostly dead!" I've seen frags come back from worse, so I'm confident they'll pull through. The same, unfortunately, cannot be said for the Highlighter or the Cali Tort. That parrot has ceased to exist... 'dems 'da breaks, I suppose.

I remounted and hooked up the autofeeders yesterday, and had to get creative since I don't want to breach the lids due to jumpers. So, I cut some 2x2 squares of polycarbonate and mounted them to the tank frame. This allows the feeders to "float" above, and subsequently drop their respective contents through, the netting.

Speaking of which... whilst inserting one of the nori cages through a drop in port, I pushed a little too hard and popped the netting out of the track on one of the lids. I'll be repairing that at some point today.

My aquarium club meeting / frag swap today is all the way in Fairfax and I really don't want to make the drive to the other side of the Potomac or deal with people, for that matter. I'm not a big fan of NOVA.

I'm thinking I'm gonna sit this one out (again) and maybe go to a LFS in the area instead.

What are your tank plans for the day / weekend?

I also opted to sit out the frag swap "here" (lakeland) today due to drive and threat of peopling.

I might do some online shopping instead.

Plan is to fix some fallers today and evaluate. Maybe I'll post an fts and take recommendations on what might be a good fit.

I'm thinking I'm gonna sit this one out (again) and maybe go to a LFS in the area instead.

What are your tank plans for the day / weekend?

Keep the printer running for reef stuff. Was thinking water change and algae removal on the fw. Might bail on day drinking in exchange for a nap.

Also bike ride. It's a good day for a ride.

Aw, Fairfax isn't so bad. I used to live there for a bit and my brother still does. I preferred living in Bethesda though. If I had to do NOVA again I'd probably do Alexandria. Problem with all these places...

All joking aside, though- it isn't that NOVA is bad, per se. It's just a hike from me, and if there is an issue on 495 or 66 It turns into a 3.5 hour trip real fast.

I spent 21 months in the hospital at the old Walter Reed just down Georgia Avenue. When I first retired out, I lived in downtown Silver Spring. I loved it there, and really miss MoCo sometimes.

Yup! Used to work at WR/Navy off Brookeville. Great area. Miss the people and the life, don't miss the traffic. LA is its own ugly beast, but I avoid it if possible.

I'm headed to American Furniture Warehouse here in a bit to buy a shelf for next to the new tank. Going to order the ATO for it as well, probably.

I printed some lid clips yesterday, they turned out well enough so I'll cut the egg crate today and see if I need another few clips. I'm going to design some that slip into the egg crate for a door in the front as well.
