I don't remember the name of this one offhand, but in two months it has fully encrusted the plug, is sprouting nubs and branches, and is spreading up and over the rockwork. I'd say that's some solid growth!

Is that an Epic one? I saw this at his booth a few months back and asked. I forget what it is now though...

I believe it was, yeah. I could be wrong, though. I honestly don't remember.

It's not a Garf, right?
No. I know it kinda looks that way in the pic, but it isn't. The body is a dark, DARK reddish brown and the polyps are yellow. The body almost looks black.

Sounds like the one I was eyeballing at the Coral Farmer's Market at his booth then.
Next time you're over that way, could you get the name for me? It is a beautiful piece and I'm excited to watch it grow!

Here's a pic of the Greek Fire that completely bleached to bone white and had algea growing on it. I snapped the seemingly dead coral off it and left the plug. Two months later, it has not only come back to life, but is sprouting a nubbin and encrusting the rock work.

I recently lost a couple of frags and had algae growing over them. I didn't snap the dead parts off and there's skin growing over the algae in a couple of places!

@tbrown you were right about the Acroberry being a slow starter, but it has colored up, is nice and shaggy, and is beginning to encrust the base:

Tiger Blood is coming along nicely, as well:

(I tweaked this photo a lot more so the red polyps didn't get washed out)

"It's a beautiful piece, bean I am sending you a frag"

No?

Pfffft.... try to give this place a chance and get snubbed right away.

Lame secret club, not worth the dues and you probably let girls in too.

Carry on....
There's been a Bean sighting!!!

That's one of the ones that died but is starting to grow skin back over the algae encrusted skeleton. I grabbed 4 frags off the colony and they all died but the colony is growing back now.

I mounted the Blue Digi sidways on an angle and the plan paid off. It's sprouting tons of growth tips! It has also thickened up considerably. Princess Peach in the foreground and a photo bomb, courtesy of Venom.
