Will do. All my drill bits are pretty skinny though. I might just have to press a piece of paper into the opening and trace it to get it right. That last one just barely didn’t fit so it was pretty close. So who's joking? She gets the cup way cleaner than I do as well. Just before dinner she told me she checked the cup and it was just below half full.
Take a set of drill bits and try them in the corner radius then tell me the one that is the closet fit. I can take it from there. Do you want one just like the old one or would you prefer the newer design? My new printers make the cups a little cleaner than my old printer did. Also measure the distance from the top of the cover to the waterline so I can set the slot height correct for your tank.
They're designed to fit the rectangular feed hole that Tenecor used for some of their tanks.
If I remember the photo you sent, your newer tank has a slightly larger corner radius than the 17.Will do. All my drill bits are pretty skinny though. You are correct. If I remember the photo you sent, your newer tank has a slightly larger corner radius than the 17.
I just checked the model. Your old feed cup has 5mm outer radius so roughly 13/64".You are correct.
That tank is still lying around the garage unused. I’d make it a nem tank for the last two RBTA’s that I haven’t traded in yet if I had anywhere at all to put it. Someday…They're designed to fit the rectangular feed hole that Tenecor used for some of their tanks.
This was the original design:
These were the ones II made for @TheWB's 17 gallon Tenecor tank.
@tbrown, I've been meaning to tell you I like the design of your feed cup but I haven't been logging in much lately. Then I forget I even have a build thread until after I log out.
I can send you the .stl later. I don't do them the most efficient so it may be hard to modify if you need to make changes.@tbrown, I've been meaning to tell you I like the design of your feed cup but I haven't been logging in much lately. Can't be any worse than the ones I do...I can send you the .stl later. I don't do them the most efficient so it may be hard to modify if you need to make changes.
Nothing wrong with yours. I was using it on the 20 long when I had more than one fish in there. It worked real well. Can’t wait to use one on the 70 AIO once I figure out that corner radius situation. Maybe tomorrowCan't be any worse than the ones I do...
Sorry for the troubles. Peppermints not allowed in my DT despite an increasing Aiptasia problem. Too many tasty fleshy corals to entice them. I'm thinking of putting them in the macroalgae refugium in the new tank with a CBB in the DT.Since it has been a few weeks, another quick update.
I haven't done a water test in weeks, need to do it soon...
- Pitho is official goner
- Peppermints killed the acan
- They also seem to be nurturing three Aiptasia for offspring
- Purple Rim Trumpet moved to frag tank just in case
- Only corals in display tank now are two pieces of the green monti and an orange monti that is is sad shape
- Trumpet and Green Hammer are doing okay so far in frag tank
- Peach Hammer lost one whole branch of heads (6 heads) and the other branch looks stressed but not gone yet
- Bubble Gum Digitata and Purple Stylo are recovering in frag tank
- Peppermints have taken to taunting me
- Dealgaefication continues slowly
Yes, the Foxface is alive--that's its 'I'm Hungry' pose.
I won't be adding any Peppermints to any tank with LPS ever again. They do a good job on the Aiptasia but WAY too expensive and demoralizing in the process. I really liked my CBB but it seemed doomed from the beginning. I'll probably try again when I get a chance and things finish stabilizing.Sorry for the troubles. I've got a local QT'ing one for me for November. Hopefully that's a way to ensure it is eating before I get it. They are beautiful fish! The Berghia definitely seem to be the better option if you have any LPSish corals in your tank. After they took out the Acan, two of the Peppermints were hanging out in front of a cave twerking back and forth and licking their chops. And all my Berghia disappeared after the Aiptasia was gone so I don't even have any left to give you.
Mine ate right away but it acted just like fish I used to get that were caught using Cyanide. I can't be sure but...I've got a local QT'ing one for me for November. Hopefully that's a way to ensure it is eating before I get it. They are beautiful fish! Worth another shot!
