Still the Dino’s won’t budge but I’ve been dosing neophos and neonitro over the last few days and got nitrate and phosphate to 5 ppm and .03 ppm so hopefully with nutrients in the tank and dosing microbacter 7 and microbacter clean will help out. (Had to sit in front of my tank for abt 30 min for the angel to come out front lol)

I’ve been thinking hard about it but I think I’m gonna do clove polyps torches and hammers to fill the tank. Does anyone have any tips on a euphyllia dominated tank. I’ve always kept them but not dominated.

Update on the Dino battle welp it’s almost 100% gone. My nitrate is sitting at 5 and phosphate .05. Have been dosing silicates to bring on a diatom bloom but I think I now have chrysophytes. First time in 3 tanks I’ve ever gotten this.

Not sure what is taking over but it’s not bad tank is almost as clean as it was before Dino’s. Hanna checkers came in 13.9 nitrate .15 phosphate 6.7 dkH. Also glad the all for reef came in because I haven’t done a water change in quite awhile and going to hold off for 2 weeks till this all settles out.

Nice euphyllia! Torch is my favorite
Same here I want to get more but they’re so dang expensive I was lucky to find the one I got it’s a ny Knicks or indo gold at my lfs for 160 w 2 heads and 1 of the heads is splitting. Definitely can’t go coral shopping for awhile bc between the mushrooms and torch it was almost 400 bucks lol

I also have an IM 25 and I've been considering moving all my Euphyllia from my main tank and making the IM 25 Euphyllia dominated. My holdback is I don't know what I'd fill in place of those corals. Anyways...

I joined a FB group called "Euphyllia Kings" and see a LOT of posts documenting peoples' struggles with brown jelly disease. So, I've been trying to collect antibiotics so that I could treat new corals before they'd go into the IM 25 and wipe everything out. That'd be my one recommendation before going that route.

I’ll definitely have to look into the Antibiotics aspect of euphyllia since I just got a gold hammer yesterday so now I’m up to 4 so I should definitely have some on hand so the whole tank doesn’t get wiped out pretty much

From what I’ve heard bjd comes from feeding fimbrophyllia or euphyllia pellet food since it can’t swallow it it’ll end up rotting and infecting the coral and poor tank conditions. My tank conditions are great when it comes to alk calc and mag but get a little worried watching my nitrates and phosphates go from 15-0 in a week without water changes little algae growth. I definitely need to learn more on bjd tho I’ve just watched you tube not a deep dive yet.

I'm trying to figure out how to re-scape my tank, as I currently don't have any caves or hiding spots for the fish – all the rocks are the same height and cemented together. How high do you have your rocks stacked in the tank? I kept mine low to leave space for coral growth, assuming the fish would hide in or around the corals as they grew out.

I think I measured my rock scape out around 6 1/4” tall the tanks 11.8 inches tall but abt 10 3/4-11 is actually under water if u want sps I’d do half the height of the tank lps u can go as high as 70%
