My Copperbands could not care less about any corals including zoas. Keep them fed and mine loves LRS Herbivore frenzy

I recommend a yellow, I kept mine in a 80g 4 foot for several years without any issue. Nice and mellow and great algae eater, ate my bryopsis. It's in a 40 breeder now temporarily, still nice and calm, it will be going into a 150g 6 foot soon.

I’m still in an apartment! but they said the tank was fine. I went acrylic so when we move into a house it won’t be bad to move the tank.

very nice! yeah I wanted either a water box or the 150g i talked about in this thread. so i didnt want toh ave to move them after lol. I knew i was only gonna be in an aparment for 2 years max so waited patiently. I do have a 80G right now set up running well.

If you can get a smaller acanthurus + a zebrasoma + a bristletooth I think you can fit 3 tangs in a 150.

I probably could have fit 3 tangs in my 120 but the convict didn't take and now my tomini is a jerk.

Could also do 2 tangs plus a rabbitfish as discussed.

yeah was thinking zebrasoma, bristletooth, and rabbitfish.

Going through more research I may end up going with the waterbox infinia reef 230.6. Which is a 6ft tank.

Still researching but looking at eshopp mariner tanks. They said they may release a 6ft display soon. It would be 72x24x24.

With that being said would yall have 3-4 tangs tops in this system?

Would be 180G rock work wise I was thinking something similar to this? Other fish I mean I don’t think other fish will bother tangs but main fish would be the tangs and magnificent foxface.

I would do a lot more caves and arches for tangs than that honestly, so they have a place to claim and hide from the other tangs if they want to

any examples for aquascape for them to hide in? I do want to keep the tangs healthy and happy. So open to suggestions on scapping, but keeping a lot of flat areas for colonies plan to make this system sps dominant.

So this is my 300 gallon. I wanted two distinct islands. My sailfin (probably 7 inches) has his favorite cave he sleeps in and the other fish have other caves. I currently have to re do my scape as Nebula (my zebra eel) keeps getting stuck in small places the other eels can fit since shes much bigger lol. But thats just an idea, I like more arches so maybe combine that and the flat areas for your SPS!

Would a scape like this be better for tangs? + adding a bit more caves and arches than this. Lay out wise? For 4 tangs, rabbitfish, foxface, pair of masked swallowtail, 4-6 bimaculatus anthias?

Dimensions would be 62x18x12-14 height

Want to keep it 12-14 since I plan on doing sps want that extra room for sps growth. Tank dimensions are 72x24x24. Or would yall go a little higher?

so how the scape goes the "height" is built up towards the back of the tank so they should have a lot of room to swim out in the front of it. This picture I believe is only 50" long so it should create more space in my tank.

How much higher would u go? I wasn't sure if I would need more room for sps growth. U think 14-16" would be better? I think 18 is too high specially in a year or two when the sps corals get colony size.I never had sps though so I'm leaning on others for that guidance.

Always hard to tell from pictures. Usually if you have good sized caves/arches and room for open swimming you should be able to keep a tang happy!
