Hi guys,

Very worried as this morning came to check on one of my tanks and noticed one of my watanabei females was laying there - basically dead - heavy breathing.

No strange markings or things to be alarmed about. Please see the video below. As I said, still sort of alive but on it's way out. Gutted as absolutely beautiful fish.

She is housed with another female and male. Wondering as the other female is quite large if it could've bullied/attacked her to death? Ever since I added the other male/female, the large female has constantly chased and tried to attack her. Could this be the cause?

Here's the video:
All other fish are fine, so seems isolated

Any advice otherwise as worried could take effect of whole tank if not bullying! I've had her over 3 months now - was eating yesterday.

Thanks!

While I see a little tail nipping, There is a red blemish by the gills which may have stemmed from injury, gill issue such as flukes or swelling of gills. Fish is moribund from what I see and recovery at this stage becomes low

Thank you! Do you think I should treat for flukes in the tank? Or is it more likely just from an injury

Hard to tell when the fish is in this state and not breathing heavy. Its shallow breathing again in alignment with being moribund. How do other occupants look/breathing?

All other occupants seem to be breathing entirely normal. The other watanabei even, doing well, eating fine, behaving in the normal fashion. So this is why was wondering if it was just isolated or just about to spread to others

Its isolated and not a dietary issue but again from bruise, an injury or infection

The angel is hollow-bellied, but is also thin along its nape - I don't see ripped fins that I would typically see with aggression (but Genicanthus aren't all that "nippy").
