Little update. Copied from @fishguy242 thread, so I didnt have to type again lol.

I did this yesterday.

- Setup 2x 40b tanks for temp holding tanks
- Took all items out of 50g tub and put into the 40bs
- got nailed by 3 scorps when removing rocks (knew they were there, but it doesn't hurt too bad lol)
- got bit by a hairy blenny
- washed all sand from 50g tub
- setup the 7' acrylic tank again
- took all rock in garage tubs and put in 100g sump and the 7' tank (100g tub was sump for 50g tub)
- put all contents of 1 40b into the 7' tank
- scaped the 7' tank
- cleaned gpa off a ton of macro
- cleaned gpa off any rocks that had it
- setup the doser on the 7' tank
- setup a carbon and gfo reactor for the 7' tank
- took the puffers I brought back from FL out of QT, took the small sea robin from Fl out of QT and put in 7' tank
- did hybrid ttm round for new scopes.
- took candy nems out of observation tank and put in 180 in basket to hold them for now
- took mini maxi I got out of observation and put in base in 180 to hold for now
- Made a massive mess of the back room

Today to Do List

- Move the nems to the 7' tank (possible going to move the setae, as well.
- finish cleaning GHA off the GSP rocks that are still in a 40b
- replant mangroves from tub somewhere in the 7' tank
- clean up the back room
- Change oil on Paxtin's F-150
- Change Oil on the De-Forester (Lifted STI swapped Forester)
- Change Oil on Damians V70R
- Take algae from scrubber on 180 and put on clip for the fishes to eat. (They are eating their own poop lol, so to speak)
- Go to LFS and pick up pallet of salt, as it came in Saturday

Will be posting updated pics of sump for the 180 when all done with it and will post some pics of the 7' tank back up and running when it is all done.
I didn't see a nap in there anywhere... impressive

Exactly what a slacker would say.

Yup. Halves are far enough for me. No need to run 66k miles.

I agree, but I will kayak 66 miles if I can lol.

Not quite that many, but mile reference is at bottom left of screenshot from my Garmin active captain on my phone. Yup. I took the yak out that far lol.

Look at the whopping 7+ mph lol.

I go out at the jetty or go out at the Saint Lucie inlet. Mostly the second, as Fort Pierce jetty has to to be timed right with the tides. Saint Lucie inlet is not a big deal at any time. I mean, I get a little wet from breaks over the box, but sit on top and it drains out the scuppers lol.

In addition, depending on the seas (was 5-7 when I went out) it is actually smoother in a yak. The timing and time between waves, as well as the height can mean you just "roll" with them and gently go over them. But in a 30 or so foot boat, they crash on you and make for a rough ride. But it can be said a 60' boat is smooth, as they are sitting on 3 waves and never get the "break". Just have to be smart and know the seas, watch the reports, and always wear a PFD, have a vhf radio, have a yak tether, and never go alone.

In short, decent seas means yak, rough seas means my 32' boat lol.

Ok, so just ordered some things that are going to require that the 40b's be empty and all items on my list get done.

Back later with some updates and pics.

Gonna leave ya hanging on what I ordered lol.

So the 12' pelican something or another that I got free on fb won't cut it?

I have thought about actually spending money on a kayak, but never do.

Nope.

Either a 12’ old town pdl or bigger, Hobie pa12 or larger, Jackson 12’ or larger, etc.

best to have pedal drive, as it is another form of propulsion.

Mine 3 have a gps trolling motor, pedal drive and paddle.

Stuff never works out as planned. Got one 40b cleaned, Kristy comes in and tells me dryer is dead. Checked it all out and element is burnt up. Dryer is old as dirt and part not made anymore.

Ended up going to buy a new washer and dryer. Old washer will go to garage, replace the 40 year old one out there, and be used for farm clothes washing. Well, going to try the washer with the cloths from all the oil changes today. Then decide which one to keep lol. Neither is that HE crap, so just need to know which one beats the dirt out of the clothes better lol.

Also went and bought another 40b for the stuff coming in tomorrow.

No pics, but here is the list of what is coming tomorrow.

1x scribbled rabbitfish
3x Heteractis aurora
1x Heteractis magnifica
4x Stichodactyla mertensii

Oof! IMO the new machines all seem to be overpriced these days and, like everything else, come with a joke of a warranty. Did you get a front loading washer? I ask because most people I know that have out had them have/had a lot of problems with them.

Top load. It is one of those fancy ones with all the buttons, but has a 5 year warranty on all items and 10 on motors and drum.

Still looking for an old Maytag dryer. Like the ones that burns clothes on high and left too long in there lol. Nothing beats those old things.

All the nems look good. Scribbled rabbit looks great also. It is now hiding in the pvc and refuses to take a pic lol.

4x auroras
4x mertens
1x massive mag.

The mags mount is nice and tight and was shipped in about 3 gallons of water. Costs more in shipping, but seems to be healthier nems when done that way.

Nems went through 2 flushes. Observation for now and then treatment if needed.

Excuse the blown out pics and the puffers. They isn’t want to say high. Plus the sea robin came out, so snapped his pic.

So far so good. All nems have mouths closed, excluding the aurora. They are currently digging in deeper where I placed them and appear to be getting their feet under the rocks. Mags mouth is also nice and tight. It did move down to the sand, and that was to be expected since added later in day and the LED I have for some macro that I light when T5s are off is right near there. So it moved towards the light lol. It snow moving back to the center of the tank and looks to be moving back towards the rocks lol. Luckily, this tank has no powerbeads going and still has a ton of flow. I did have one, but took it out last night and now have the closed loop and the return providing all of the flow.

I will be adding the candy nems and mini maxi nems later today and the scores are close to being done with TTM. Those guys have eaten like hogs, so super happy about that.

Woohoo. Done with work for the day.

Plan for today.

- Move Condy nems over to 7' tank
- Move mini maxi over to 7' tank
- get last of corals and macros out of 40b and get them in 7' tank
- get macro from 40b cleaned up some (has some GHA on it)
- replant mangroves (still have not figured that out. May do some small baskets filled with sand and then hide then in the rocks.
- do last h202 dip on scopes and put them in 7' tank
- Nem cannon the sebae nems in the 180 if they are not affixed to the glass under the sand. If on glass, move them to 7' tank.
- Remove t5 from 7' tank and throw up the old kessils on it or throw the kessils back not he 180 and put the hydra 32s on this tank. Not sure yet.
- setup and ato for the 7' tank, so I do not have to top off everyday (it is in my office, so doing everyday is not bad, as mixing station is right next to it lol. But would rather have much more stability)
- setup doing pumps for 7' tank. Will be a monitor for a week and figure consumption first, but want to have doser and lines setup.
- clean up back room. The room is the only part of the house we did not remodel, as it was intended for storage only and was part of the original build in the 1800, then had paneling thrown up in the 70s (paneling was same as in fish barn when it was going). It is now my office, as it is the quietest room in the house.

What's the best way to move mini maxis attached to rock?
I use a small nem cannon lol.

Or a small powerhead pointed at them and a plate right next to them.

Luckily, these are in a tub and are from the last order, so just have to "peel and stick" lol.
