I would take an h. aurora over a bright colored nem any day of the week. The patterns alone make them the best imo.

Got some codium, graciliria, caulerpa, and some dragonsbreath glued down.
Diatoms are doing their thing, and that is fine. Knew it would happen, as was dosing silicates when rock was in tub. Wanted to keep my sponges alive lol.

Next is to move some Steve-a-pora over, FL zoas, some Duncan frags, and whatever else I feel like reducing the number of in the 180 lol.

Got the hybrid fixture mounted. 3x blue plus, 1x purple plus and 3x kessils at 60% color ramping up to 70% intensity. Puts par on top at 675 and 250 averages on sanded. Shallow tanks rock lol.

Mangroves ended up in a basket for now, but in the sump. The Rock crabs and gorilla crabs should be happy lol.
Filter sock is only temporary, as using it to catch diatoms when I blast the rocks off. Maybe a week or 2 of them and should be good. Silicates are off the charts on my test kit lol. But sponges are nice and healthy.
Going to run them on reverse light cycle of DT and hoping a ton of GHA and Turf algae grows in the sump, as well. Thought is that it will outcompete the little bit in the DT until I can get the rabbitfish through QT.

Puffers saying "Hello Punk, now feed me". I am gettin that from the 11 I have in there lol.
This pic kind of looks like I am snorkeling in FL. Codium, candy nems, checkered puffers, and a pinfish butt lol. The only non native to FL is the crazy hawkfish in the pic and the GSP lol.

That really is a cool shot! Did you mean for it to come out as though you’re in the water or was it just an odd happenstance?
I’m a HUGE Puffer fan from the way back far away era! Show me someone who doesn’t like Puffers and I’ll show you someone not to be left alone in your house!
