Putting this here, so I have it in case someone does something stupid and the thread that it is in gets locked. Also nice to have it here, so I can look back at it and wonder about myself and how nuts I really am lol.

This is for "Dave" the sump nem baby that lived.

I have some anemones that are red, purple and green
They like to snuggle and be seen
From time to time they spawn
It is usually just before dawn
And then one day I was blown away
A little nem managed to be created on that day
The little nem was found in the sump
So I took him out of that dump
I gave the little nem his own spot
Hoping it would give him a shot
The little nem did very well
And now at 3" he has a story to tell.

It was the Nem/mangrove lagoons. So had 2 skimmers.

This little terd needs to give me the winning lottery numbers and the secrets of world peace.

Tug'o'war is game# 1 lol. I go make a cup of coffee, the Keurig does its thing for a few minutes and we play. Then she decides if she wants to stay in the house or come out to the fish barn (I guess water storage barn now???? lol) and chill we me in her chair.

She found the right home. I’m very confident her and the other pups ended up exactly where they were Meant to be. (Storage barn is good- just means you’re prepared for the future…)

It is Filet Thursday!!!!!!!

Will be grilling up some home grown beef tonight!!!!!!! Sadly, out of hardwood and need to go cut some more, so these will be done on propane and not my 55g drum grill lol.

Oddly enough, the best part is the zucchini, onions and bell peppers. Also, the came from my garden, so I know what’s in them lol.

Nice! I had to rip out my zucchini plants they got eaten up by squash bugs while I was in Alaska. I hate those things.

I ended up with a 22”x6” zucchini while I was in FL lol.

For pests, I use diatomaceous earth and cayanne powder mixed together and sprinkle it on the ground and plants. Works great for those little buggers and even kills flys lol.

Good to know, thanks. I use Neem oil but of course it washes away with rain.

Yup. Gave it to family friend, as they were about to make some zucchini bread. They used half for the bread and then at the other half over 3 meals lol. I was at one of those meals and it was a yummy one. Dark green, looked good on the outside and was perfect on the inside. Just an oddity and not an over rippened and overgrown one.

bad thing is, lost about 100 cucumbers while I was away, they shot you in size and were all yellow when I got back. Knew I should have picked them before we left. Would have just had smaller pickles lol.

That’s awesome! Usually when they get too big they’re not edible. Zucchini bread is one of the best things about growing zucchini. That and battering them and frying them up in a skillet. Yum-o.

That sucks about losing your cucumbers. My cucumbers were very disappointing this year. They didn’t taste right so we ended up cutting the vines out. Some of our tomato plants are struggling too they’re not flowering and producing fruit as much as they should be by this time of the season. I think the heat this year is really affecting vegetables.

My tomatos are splitting to all heck. Even though I set them up to drain really well and they do drain really well lol. Just splitting right as they turn orange. Yet, my cherry tomatoes are friggin insane, as are my peppers. I am just going to make cherry tomato salsa this year lol. Probably will have enough of them to make 100 jars lol.
