I scrape the area carefully with a razor blade to remove the algae from the Coral. You may need to do this a few times. I had a Montipora with this issue. ( Jedi mindtrick) and was successful.this frag probably got injured... stnd at that spot ... some algae grew on the side ... then the coral healed and started growing but the algae wouldn't let it encrust. Another cause of that particular growth pattern is very often caused by the acropora eating flat worms , they usually stress the acro it would die off on one spot , and after they lay eggs on the dead side of the coral , it grows back like that . So to be safe i would dip it in bayer and inspect for the eggs.
They look fine to me, sometimes the best thing to do is be patient. Sticks have taught me patience if nothing else.here they are. sorry they are a little fuzzy..

A few lps a few soft corals 3 fish right now got two more going in a few months.. yes big aquamaxx skimmer..Those look good to me man ! and just to clarify you run a skimmer correct? and whats the bioload of your tank ? fish/inverts coral
... and my phosphate is down to .25
Is that a typo? 0.25 is extremely high IMHO. Or did you mean 0.025?
