growing outward at the base of the frag is what is considered encrusting. They were. Acros of some sort not sure what you mean by entcrusting.. im new to they sps world. Only have had 5 in 8 years and seems I killed them all
kinda looks like something ate into the right side of the long stalk in two places. Can anybody tell me why my green slimmer looks like this?Everything else in my tank looks good.
Its cool.. I seriously dont think im going to continue...Some SPS are more hardy than others Steve. Montipora and Birdsnest are more apt to make it in a new tank, I think. The Cali tort might be a little more challenging. Don't be discouraged though. It's all part of the process Bud.
SPS do not like change. My only advice is, focus on consistent parameters. Those Reef Breeders ought to keep SPS.
Yes this morning. I have been told several times that im jumping the gun. So its bring the nitrates up and wait and see.. thanks for your input..Steve did you just take those images? I do not see anything wrong with them. Patience, grasshopper!
Guess im just nervous.Yeah , they look okay to me. It will take time for them to settle in. It took my digi a little extra time but now it's growing like a weed.
They are at .04Yeah man, you just have to find the sweet spot. Don't worry too much with chasing numbers, just keep them in check. Stay positive and patient and they will take off. I'd worry more about your phosphates than your nitrates!
EDIT: I should have said, I worry more about phosphates than nitrates lol.
