can you have a one clown fish and snail or hermit crab in 5 gallon tank aquarium because I’m getting reef pico 5 gallon pico tank and l like to do it and do you guys recommend that tank size because I’m a beginners

A full grown clown, no. You could keep one for maybe a year. Take a look at something like a fire shrimp goby.

And no, 5 gallons is pretty small for a beginner tank. Look into some of the all in one tanks, 15, 20 gallon range. You will have a much better chance of success with one of those.

Clownfish generally need at least a 10 gallon tank. Once they find a spot they like they typically don't stray far from it.

As previously mentioned, the smaller the tank the harder it is to keep water quality stable. Try to go as large as you can afford.

I had, at one point, a mated pair of O. Clowns in a 10g tank. They lived, yes, but I really should have had them in a 20g long. I'd never do that again.

for a first time saltwater tank with no prior experience i would say keeping a 5 gallon pico would be incredibly difficult
