has anyone had to shim their reefer 250 stand? I just bought one and its a bit unlevel so i want to fix it. The stand has feet along the bottom edges which are the only contact point with the floor. If i shim it, do i only need to put shims under the feet?

Your feet should just unscrew or screw in to make level adjustments. I don’t own a 250.. so I might be wrong..

i tried but the feet aren't adjustable. Maybe its just the bigger tank stands that are?

Then I would use the white plastic shims you can get at home depot. You can use 2 together to get everything shimmed.

I put shims side by side to fill the area between the feet.

Yeh it’s only the larger reefers that come with adjustable feet. I used the plastic spacers that came in the packaging, don’t know if that’s what they are for but I know I’m not the first. Placed on one side they levelled the tank perfectly.

Had a RSR250 before upgrading and we shimmed it using rubber washers or steel washers in between the stand and the original feet. The black rubber washers pretty much disappeared into the look of the stand and weren't noticeable at all. It was a bit time consuming but it leveled the system perfectly without ruining the aesthetic that we were going for.

The XL300 model that's coming in 2020 has adjustable leveling feet plus a plywood cabinet, which are welcomed additions in my opinion!

10-15 min under sink water then a quick rinse under RODI water.
just to make sure put a filter sock on the output for an hour or so....
All good.

next time i might just do an RODI rinse and use the filter sock as well.
