So I need a little bit of help with this issue. I would be completely satisfied if I could get my system to just have a slight trickle of water going down the emergency drain. The problem is, after a few days it starts going down the emergency drain too rapidly and gets noisy. Or sometimes it drops and then I'll readjust the downflow valve and my ato kicks on for an extended time while getting the water level in the overflow back up near the emergency drain.
So it sounds like the solution is 2-fold:
1. Increase speed of the return pump (haven't tried this yet, but certainly can experiment)
2. Increase "water level"
What is meant by increase "water level"...are you suggesting I raise my ATO sensor so that the sump is fuller with water? Of course, if I were to do this, I would need to add salt water to manage the adjustment, I am just not sure how this would solve the problem and increase stability of the downflow valve mess...
Here is a pic of my sump...does the water level look to be a problem?
Thanks for any guidance @Hurricane Aquatics and others! I've got a 7 day vacation coming up and really would like this sorted out somewhat so my salinity isn't all over the place. I just won't be home to make small adjustments every couple days.
