The elf thing is terrifying...
Not to my kids!! They bounce outta bed in the morning to find her. They are 2 and 4 years old. Sometimes the elf leaves them candy to eat in the morning.

Hello,

Isn’t that the same thing as elf on a shelf, I have that game but havnt opened it yet. There is still time before Xmas :)
That is exactly what it is! The kids love it!!

Not really a game though. More like an elf that reports to Santa on the kids behavior and is in different places each morning.

We have two pit bull breed dogs and setting up a tree would be a disaster because they are like a bull in a china shop! We have no human kids and are not much into Christmas. I like getting people gifts and not expecting anything in return.

You do realize for all that just said the elf thing is terrifying, you'll be getting one randomly in the mail...:) I'm a redhead. I can't help myself.

Lol, from one red head to another...get em!

I had never heard of this tradition until my daughter mentioned it a few years ago. Her kids also love it.

we were worried that Barney would be christening our tree. So we used a smaller one and put it up on a small table. So far so good. My hubby is the bull in the China shop here. Lol

Maybe you could send them new frags after the holiday rush dies down.

It’s getting colder here too. Snowed hard today and now it’s sunny and warm - Colorado weather just can’t make up its mind! Haha
I’m a dog walker and a lot of the dogs have a blast in the snow while I’m freezing my butt off lol

I am totally blown away. I got my Secret Santa gifts just now. All I can say is wow.

A few weeks ago I started a thread on various 'Dry foods' for our critters with great response and continued to see a pattern of some great suggestions. So my Secret Santa no doubt a clever, considerate, thoughtful person who has paid attention to some of my posts with a well put together package.

To boot, my Secret Santa lives in Tampa Florida which is also home of my favorite MLB team the Tampa Bay Rays. I don't get to go to their games often but do have season tickets to their AAA MiLB team The Durham Bulls, so I feel this was truly meant to be. How cool is that?!

I truly appreciate the gifts of life you sent. Thank you so much and I look forward to feeding my critters this evening.

So if you think elves on shelves are terrifying.......

A little more info--my grandma was a paranoid schizophrenic, and she used to make lots of creepy things. At one point she decided to make "elves on shelves" of her and my grandfather. She used a razor blade and cut 2 chunks out of their red shag carpet in the living rook for hair.

Some people might think that's a sad story, but I like putting them up every Christmas to remember them by :)

She may have been a little odd, but she was always interesting :D

If you have a Bass Pro Shop around, they have fleece lined jeans for both men and women. My hubby bought me a pair and I love them!
