Love the scape, makes me want to rip one side out of mine and start again doh!
Haha, I know the feeling. I rescaped my old system about 5 times before finally settling. Was never in love with it but it worked. Thanks for dropping by.

I had great success with IPSF.com. I got Spaghetti Worms, Amphipods, Bristle Worms and Mini Stars. They threw in an extra bag of pods and the Toadstool Leather for free. I would have never bought a Toadstool Leather but it turned out to be one of the family’s favorite corals. They have some good videos of several of their products on YouTube.

I had forgotten about their Youtube channel. Thx! Looking forward to receiving this package.

Well I expected a mess and boy did I get one! Extremely happy with what I received from IPSF. Wish I could show a little bit more than this but Ive left a cloud in the tank! For now Ill say the package was very well packed for transit from Hawaii. Everything was alive and happy. The tidal mud is messier than Id have liked but once it settles Im sure itll have been a good call.

Nyos skimmer working over time right now, better clean that cup before it gets out of hand! haha Can't wait to see once it clears up!
Actually I killed the skimmer. Gonna leave it off for a couple days I think. There was a bacteria piece to this puzzle I dont want to suck out!

I’m wondering if I got some mud at low tide from the inter coastal waterway or some wet lands would be beneficial?

Right off Hilton Head Island?

Assuming youre taking mud a good distance from any marina or higher traffic boat area I think it would be safe. Take a look at Paul B’s thread. It’ll take a month to get through but he does the same thing off of Long Island, NY and has for many years.

I’m certain HH has plenty of good spots.

Ok. I have read all of Paul’s threads. All very interesting to say the least!

I know a couple spots far away from any marina.

Guess a trip is in order some day.

Thanks @Scurvy

I didnt even know I wanted them!! Package deal :)

i think i only ever saw 2 in my Reefer and I sucked one out cuz I thought they were bad. That and they remind me of small aquatic snakes. I hate snakes! lol

As soon as food hits my water, they are out in force. I know I over feed but my CUC eats whatever is left behind. I was over feeding trying to bring up my nitrates and they were there cleaning up my mess....

Dont think my wrasse population ever lets them get crazy in my tanks. Bare bottom here will interesting though. Or maybe not interesting at all??

I imagine they’ll stay in the fuge. Wasnt planning a traditional fuge and had been thinking of a giant chaeto bed. I figured if I do stick to bare bottom then sand and a more traditional approach might be a good idea. Time will tell and being in sump itll be easier to pull if it gives me trouble.

I see a lot of them in my rock mostly. I do see some in the sand but the rock comes alive when food hits the tank.

Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks to all for following along, appreciate you all!

Tanks clearing. Uglies getting into full swing but the small cleanup crew is doing pretty well.
