Ehh..hopefully everything is OK now that I'm dialing my alk back in because now that I mixed a new batch of alk its different than the "pre-made for one time" bag I got from brs. 381 grams is a different potency than the first bag I got that weight about 311. It's good because I use less...bad because I have yo dial it back in. Smh

Hey I like grits! Just not in my water.

My water isn't too bad around 200 TDS, but the turbidity, ugh... I still get neighbors asking if my water is brown, to which I reply nope.

I just had it dialed I'm where it was 8/8.1 day and night. I was att 122ml a day dosing..nit I'm down to like 80 with the new mix. Alk jumped to like 9.1 and I'm slowly backing it down.

@SBB Corals i have the BRS 7 stage rodi unit. i make about 50-60 gallons of rodi water a month. How often do you recommend replacing the filters, resin (i have one anion, one cation and one mix), and membranes? I changed everything out about a month ago and added a booster pump. Not sure if it is coincidence but some of the corals seem like they are starting to do better since then (SPS are growing not just surviving).

we change all the filters 1 time per month and the membrain every 2 months.

I'm curious, I wonder if ICP test before and after a filter change would show anything.

I know you all use far more water than the average reefer, but these filters should last much longer.
