Wait did I read that right, you change your TFC membranes every two months?
we change both the dual membranes every 2 months we are very serios about this. if we wait and go more then 2 month we loose PE i dont know why this works but it does LOL something is getting through that the TDS meter does not read

we also had some of our customers do this and they now swear by it LOL

I change our filters every 2 to 3 months. But we use the aquaticlife 4 stage. Seems to help us. They're not that expensive I don't think, and do the job well. We're on well water, so I think we get more Sediment than anything.

very interesting observation. what membranes are you using? if you don't mind me asking. I got 400gpd and these tfc are like 300 a pop. from the actual manufacturer even.

I absolutely love the unit. but I go about 3 years per membrane. you got me thinking though. lol I used to change my 75's way more often.

Did some housekeeping on the 60 mainly, today. My urchins and lettuce nudibranchs are starting to do some work, though it’s still hardly noticeable. Moved a few things around. And I was way off on my Goni count. I “only” have 42 with one more to be delivered next week. Some fresh new pics, just taken half an hour ago.

I just had it dialed I'm where it was 8/8.1 day and night. I was att 122ml a day dosing..nit I'm down to like 80 with the new mix. Alk jumped to like 9.1 and I'm slowly backing it down.
I've been running mine at 7.0ish (tropic Marin pro) and the SPS seem to like it, still continuing to base out, no vertical growth as the tank is still young. Only gripe is that you have to stay on top of supplementation since there's very little room for error. Might switch to Red sea blue bucket for slightly higher alkalinity so I don't need to test as frequently and just let it drift till the next water change.

that would be awesome, mine is more like 300, which actually is pretty good for around here.
Mine is like yours. TDS about 250. I live in Dallas and they use chloramines. I use a spectra pure 4 stage + 2 chloramine specific stages and I haven't had issues.

Rando question for the group. I don't make water every day. Sometimes, if I go on vacation, the filter sits for 2 weeks. Do you guys just run the system to clear out any stagnant water and then keep using it? Ive seenon manufacturer websites to change out the filters but that seems excessive.
