I've been running mine at 7.0ish (tropic Marin pro) and the SPS seem to like it, still continuing to base out, no vertical growth as the tank is still young. Only gripe is that you have to stay on top of supplementation since there's very little room for error. Might switch to Red sea blue bucket for slightly higher alkalinity so I don't need to test as frequently and just let it drift till the next water change.
I use Red Sea blue bucket. I switched from TM Classic and have been happy so far

Get you a torch Mountain going, and you won't regret it. Here's ours all SBB torches

Beautiful. My tank is too shallow for a mountain. Maybe a torch molehill

Man, got a new phone case and the orphek lens kit. It really does make a difference in clarity. The old case was waterproof, so had a plastic cover over the phones camera lens. Always made them a little blurry.

Got the otter box so it has nothing over the camera now, and the orphek came with an extra lens I didn't have. It really helps take out the blue glare! Going to do another video later, should be pretty clear!

I don't know if bumble bee snails work. I've only ever added one, since they can predate on regular snails. They also eat the little sand tube worms and maybe fan worms, so the one I have is relegated to the frag tank because I'd cry if it ate my Christmas tree worms. I have those little slugs though and would be more than happy to send some your way.
They have worked like a charm for me...and the vertimid snails!!

Never like to be a nay sayer, but using the words “let it drift” make me nervous. I think “stability” would be a better thing to key on. Corals, like most living entities can live in less than perfect conditions as long as there is stability in their environment and they can adjust to that environment. Swings do not let them do that where they can thrive, not just exist.

I have a TDS meter after the anion, when it isn't 0 i look to replace something. that way my last stage, the mixed bed is still taking it down to 0. i'm not sure what the recommendation is on the membrane, but i replace it when i'm getting, again, too much TDS coming out of the membranes or reduced output. I think i have 4 duel TDS meters on my 8? stage? so i can try to see what is happening and where problems arise in they system.

2 membrains, 2 carbon, one particulate, and 3 DI chambers. 7 or 8, not sure if yo count the second membrane.
I have to look again but i dont think i can put a tds meter between the resin canisters. I have the one that came with the kit i believe at the very end of everything and i bought but have not yet installed another tds meter. Was going to put it at the very front of the system just to see the difference
