I don't know if bumble bee snails work. I've only ever added one, since they can predate on regular snails. They also eat the little sand tube worms and maybe fan worms, so the one I have is relegated to the frag tank because I'd cry if it ate my Christmas tree worms. I have those little slugs though and would be more than happy to send some your way.
You’re super lucky to have those guys. I’m looking everywhere online, from what I see in forums they’re super hard to find.
I totally agree bumble bee snails are risky, but it’s getting crazy in my tank.

I looked up Christmas tree worms and those look awesome!!

I’ll definitely take you up on the slugs. I can’t find them anywhere.

@SBB Corals i have the BRS 7 stage rodi unit. i make about 50-60 gallons of rodi water a month. How often do you recommend replacing the filters, resin (i have one anion, one cation and one mix), and membranes? I changed everything out about a month ago and added a booster pump. Not sure if it is coincidence but some of the corals seem like they are starting to do better since then (SPS are growing not just surviving).

Shane would probably say every week... so would I in a perfect world... but that's because we both believe the RODI is the foundation, and thus most important, part of waterkeeping.

How is your game room/fish room thing going. When everything is running good, let me know and I'll send my sps pack I won from a yesterday raffle over.

Truthfully you should be able to maintain quarterly filter change cycles at that usage. Keep an eye on your TDS after the membrane, before the DI stages. Once it creeps above 99% of your pre-filtered TDS, change everything.

Waiting on over 4k of gear from BRS now... (Including new RODI filters, since we're talking about those)... Tuesday I fix everything.

I have a TDS meter after the anion, when it isn't 0 i look to replace something. that way my last stage, the mixed bed is still taking it down to 0. i'm not sure what the recommendation is on the membrane, but i replace it when i'm getting, again, too much TDS coming out of the membranes or reduced output. I think i have 4 duel TDS meters on my 8? stage? so i can try to see what is happening and where problems arise in they system.

2 membrains, 2 carbon, one particulate, and 3 DI chambers. 7 or 8, not sure if yo count the second membrane.

Do you all buy the color changing di resin and pack it yourself or buy the ones that are already pre packed
I’’m lazy so I’ll probably just buy the prepack when it’s time.
