For those making their own RO-DI water, how hard was the set up? I’m thinking about setting up a system but seems a bit intimidating. Don’t need to go messing up my plumbing.

Easy. I set mine up with a saddle valve and ran the drain into the drain of a utility sink in the same room.
You can also use faucet adapters if you don’t want to puncture your current pipes.

Definitely longer and local to me! But like significantly higher price. I buy their membranes but BRS for the rest of the setup
Higher price but lasts longer and I think works better, I'm not sure how it pencils out in the long run. Talk about higher price, I also order their $45 pre-filter which is 0.2 micron. But I believe it last longer and makes the carbon blocks last longer too

spot check when is the last time you changed all the filters?
Thanks for the reminder i got a new membrane a few weeks ago and totally forgot!

50g barrel for waster water, 32 brute for rodi. Hooked it to the basement bathroom with a faucet timer because I made water several times and kinda flood the bathroom when the barrel overflow. Hubby wasn't too happy. I then pump the waste water upstairs to water my garden and for the toilet. I don't like to waste

I date mine every time I change them. 3-14-23 was last change. I'll be getting new filters next week to change them out. I try and change them every three months :)

Only thing connected to the house is the red line from the faucet to the RO-DI unit.
