Definitely longer and local to me! But like significantly higher price. I buy their membranes but BRS for the rest of the setup

Hey I’m kind of new to rodi, I bought a used BRS unit and replaced all the the filters and resin. I noticed the resin turned half brown the first time using it. Do you wait and change the resin once it’s all brown?

please everybody who is running and making there own RODI water. Dont forget to change all filters, Carbon, Sediment, Resin and most important the membrain. too many people are not changing it and then crashing there tanks with every water change. dont be that person.

spot check when is the last time you changed all the filters?

Still pretty new. Just used it for the 4th time . Make about 5-8 gallons per time I use it.

Get a TDS meter and stick it between either two resin chambers or after the second if you have three. Swap as soon as you see 1. Randy has some info on this but 1 tds can actually be worse than a lot higher

Even with TDS 35 and 3 line TDS meter, I change it when the color is almost half.

I haven't done a water change in like a year.

I tried this for a while but just couldnt keep NO4/PO3 down... i was at like 2 phos and 400 nitrates for a while lol

I’ve got a BRS with the TDS meter and it reads about 35 in 0 out.

About a gallon a week for my reef tank and about three gallons a day for my discus tank.
