Personally and IMO....kessil is the choice if you want the shimmer. Bars are the way if you want whats better for the corals.

i love kessils for my frag tanks (with bars as well) because i can just turn a knob and change the spectrum. for pictures or if some one is buying coral and wants to see it under different lighting or just because i like to see them under different spectrums sometimes.

She is looking for a torch and some gonis for her tank. I am sure there will be a few in the sale.

Well, so far so good with my new clowns. They both ate like little pigs at the afternoon feeding. As far as choosing a home, I’m thinking that may be a while. One of my Chromis tried to take a nip at one, but to my surprise, they ganged up on him and now the Chromis is relocated to the top tank corner. Guess it won’t try that again. Clowns are staying high in the tank right now. Of course, torches, hammer and goin’s are all on the bottom. I think they are reluctant to go low because all the big fish are swimming between them and those possible hosts. Looking like the two front high MP40s are going to be top two choices. We‘ll see what happens when the lights go down this evening. It’s amazing to see how much more active all the fish are now with two new ones in the tank.
